You can use the Pages section to find the most active pages in your website. You can use this to understand which of your content
is most seen, most engaging, brought most visitors, etc. By default the list show only top 10 items, but you can view all by clicking the
View More button.
You can see the following metrics on each page:
- Total Visits: Total number of times the page has been seen.
- Unique Visits: Number of visits from unique users.
- Entrances: Number of times this was the first page of a user.
- Exits: Number of times this was the last page of the user.
If you click a page entry, the dashboard will be filtered based on that particular page.
If you click on the Entrances count against a page, the dashboard will be filtered by users who came to your website from that page.
If you click on the Exits count against a page, the dashboard will be filtered by users who left your website from that page.
Metrics like views, duration are calculated against the relative path of pages with respect to your hostname. Query params and hash from the page URL are excluded.

However, we understand that certain website have routing based on query params and hashes. GingerTag offers a way to see visits on these URL variants.
When you select a path from the list, the whole dashboard switched to show metrics based on the selected page. When this happens, the Pages section now show the Top Variants of the selected page, including query params and hash. This way you can track visits on page level even if you are using a hash router.
Note: UTM based query params (and
ref) are excluded when showing URL variants of a page.
